After crash landing on a New Mexico Indian reservation, a stealth bomber becomes the center of contention between a handful of secretive Air Force brass, and the local Indian authorities, who demand answers for the government's trespassing on sacred land. But Tommy Spottedhorse, a young officer with the Tribal Authorities, is more concerned about the disappearance of a young woman, whose empty truck was found near the crash site. His quest for answers leads him into stranger and stranger territory. When a local park ranger is found murdered, having painted the picture of an alien head with her own blood on a rock, and cattle mutilations suddenly abound on the outskirts of the reservation, Tommy considers he might be up against more than a few bullheaded generals.
